Gallery Artists

Gallery Artists have tested out from the basic Michael Helene Program and are moving up in the educated hair artist world. They have completed over 50 hours of advanced education and shown that their classic skills cannot be challenged! They are no longer copying what they were taught but actually understanding the procedures and processes in order to cut and color hair based on head shape and customization of the individuals hair. Hair is, after all, like snowflakes, no one, is exactly the same!!

Michaela graduated from Chantilly Academy Cosmetology in 2013 by the same amazing educator many of our staff had, Mr. Wayne White. Michaela worked with us as an assistant from 2012-2013, she then went on to gain experience and more confidence at Hair Cuttery from 2013-2015. Michaela has experienced taking 3 levels of advanced Hairshaping courses at the prestigious Graham Webb Academy, Celebrity Artist Candy Shaws’ Balayage class, and an updo class with three time Emmy award winning makeup artist Susan Patterson. She loves to learn new techniques and to do everything she can for her clients. She recently joined our front desk coordination team as well, due to a medical restraint limiting her hours behind the chair. Michaela is enjoying the new opportunity to see hair from both the business and creative sides. She looks forward to getting to know all of MHSG guests and growing her business management skills.

Michael Helene Says: Michaela was a find from the same school I went to, she is kind hearted and sweet. Michaela wants to do well at everything and never wants to disappoint. She always steps up for new projects and is always willing to learn new things. She is now helping at the front desk and planning events for MHSG due to an injury…but she is still killin her cuts and colours!

Flying! It would be pretty fun to go to an island or country on a day off!
4.) Who is your inspiration in the hair/fashion industry? Why? 
Marilyn Monroe because she is a searcher and seeker of the truth. She has a clear and compelling sense of herself as a spiritual being. As a result, Marilyn’s life path is devoted to investigations into the unknown, and finding the answers to the mysteries of life.

Ashley specializes in intricate up-dos, Balayage and Highlighting. She began her career graduating from the prestigious Paul Mitchell the School in Tyson’s Corner. Ashley is eager to learn all of the new trends. in her spare time, she watches videos of her mentors demonstrating hairshaping and color techniques. Using these day to day, her clients leave the salon loving her hair!

Ava is a creative artist born from the great golden state of California, raised in the glamorous city of Los Angels. Combined with over 28 years of experience and sustained with her ongoing education over the course of these years. Making her up to date with old and new styles and what is trending. She attended DELOUX School of Cosmetology and graduated in 1989. Her passion for hair always came naturally as it runs in her family. Having an open imagination made anything possible for her to handle. Even at the her earliest age of 10, she was inspired to create hairstyles and change peoples moods and perspectives. She always strives with every reservation to create that ecstatic smile!

Fire starter, and a five gallon water bottle so when it was empty I can catch the rain water.

She is a  NOVA native and grew up in Centreville, VA. She went to Centreville High School and from there she was able to attend academy over at Chantilly High School Academy, where she found my passion for Cosmetology! Her Cosmology instructor was Wayne White, the same as Micheal Helene! She met Micheal at Chantilly High School and completely fell in love with her and her passion for the industry. While working with Micheal, she has worked on photo shoots for the salon, being able to learn more and grow as a new artist. When she not at the salon,  she is continuing her education for hair and makeup. She is also Affinage Color Certified!

Michael Helene Says:Helen is one of our newest apprentices and a student at Chantilly Academy with Wayne White, my teacher when I was in school (20 years ago, my time flies)! Helen is so devoted to the art of hair and is always wanting to be ahead of the game. She is like a sponge for knowledge, it is very refreshing and keeps me motivated to keep on keepin on. I think Helen is gonna be a very good artist. Her kind, down to earth demeanor will take her a long way!

    Joy from Inside Out, because I love being happy and working with my team.

    I would be a shape-shifter because I could become a dog whenever I would like!

    Larisa Love, I have been following her through social media for a while now and I love how she’s always educating! She is also using new techniques and multiple techniques in her work.

Beth graduated from C.S. Monroe Technology Center with her Cosmetology License in 2017 and is currently enrolled at Northern Virginia Community College for her degree in Business. She loves to learn and is constantly trying to get more education under her belt. She’s creative, and really has a passion for hair and the industry. She loves what she does and takes pride in her work.
